What's on

Church Ministries

You hear me when I call
You are my morning song
Though darkness fills the night
It cannot hide the light

Whom shall I fear

You crush the enemy
Underneath my feet
You are my sword and shield
Though troubles linger still
Whom shall I fear

I know who goes before me
I know who stands behind
The God of angel armies
Is always by my side

Chris Tomlin

So do not fear, I am with you.

Isaiah 41:10

For He guards the course of the just

Proverbs 2:8

He who has the Son has life

1 John 5:12

Christ is our strength

There is no need for the believer to fear as God has promised to be with us in all that we experience. It may not always be straight forward to appreciate the assurance of God as we go through the circumstances of life. Knowledge of the scriptures though is our starting point for it is there we find out what God has spoken, all that is for our wellbeing and indeed blessing. Our daily devotions with additional Bible study are part of the Christian life. With this discipline our understanding of God and His ways become apparent. Then we can be blessed from applying all that we have comprehended in our lives on a daily basis as we are ever active for the Lord Jesus Christ. Bear in mind the Proverb, "Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding." Andy Wilson

Mission Focus

This Mission Focus last month had a visit from Barry Nicholson on Tuesday 12th March. A Christian in the world of football, Barry gave his testimony, his connection with Jairah Funds and the vision for the future. It is now vital that we continue to pray for this work that God will bless it.

This year (March 19th) marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of David Livingston. We will have feature this month on his life and faith.

Barrhead Annual Conference 28th April

The Easter Family Service went well with the contribution of children and young people greatly appreciated as well as the message from Ian Preston. It was encouraging to have family and friends attending. Thanks to the leaders and helpers for helping make the day a great success.

Fusion Prizegiving on Wednesday 27th March also went very well. There was a good turnout of parents who came along to the final evening of the session. Please pray for the conversations that leaders were able to have with parents on the night as well as the many opportunities to chat over the session.

Johnstone Journal

Pray for the follow up from the GLO Easter team and for the fifty plus young people who attend the youth groups in the Church that they will continue to attend after the holidays.

Give thanks for the many mums and toddlers who come along on a Monday.

Pray for Charles Macharia as he prepares for his baptism in April. It is hoped that this will be at Bethany on the 28th, as part of the evening service.

Allan and Anne Kitt

Anne would appreciate prayer as she spends time with two of her neighbours, and for those women who attend the sewing and art classes with her, asking spiritual questions.

Pray that Anne would have opportunities to share the Gospel message with them. March Newsletter
