Church Ministries

Above all powers
Above all kings
Above all nature and all created things
Above all wisdom and all the ways of man
You were here before the world began

Above all kingdoms
Above all thrones
Above all wonders the world has ever known
Above all wealth and treasures of the earth
There's no way to measure what you're worth

Laid behind the stone
You lived to die
Rejected and alone

Like a rose trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me
Above all

He has risen! He is not here

Word of Salvation

There are seven sayings from the Lord Jesus Christ while on the cross at Calvary. These words are rich in meaning for every believer, often providing much thought in our meditation and worship whether personal or public. The second saying is in response to the dying thief. A man who had initially reviled the Lord was convicted of his need of Saviour. It is remarkable that a man who was being punished for crimes committed and for which was paying the penalty, wanted to be remembered. He knew he could do nothing to merit salvation he had to turn to the one who was on the cross next to him, recognising Him as the Messiah. It is a wonderful response from the Lord and indeed this man is now known throughout history for his testimony. This is just one on the many incidents in the Easter message that we remember and rejoice in once again. Andy Wilson

Creation Conference

We are look forward to Nagy Iskander coming to Bethany on Friday evening 17th April and Saturday 18th April for some talks on Creation and the Flood.

There are leaflets available of the topics for the talks to be given that will enlighten, encourage and even challenge those attending.

Dr Nagy Iskander

Nagy and his wife Nashua, from Egypt, now based in East Kilbride have an enthusiasm to reach young people in Scotland with the gospel. They have formed the JAM (Jesus and Me) Trust, a charity that is for evangelism purposes. This includes JAM Clubs for local children, which is especially busy during long schools breaks, where children play games and learn Bible lessons.

This desire has taken many forms, including enclosing evangelistic CD-ROMs inside secular newspapers. The Glasgow Herald newspaper has distributed his Advent Calendar CD-ROM during the Christmas season-during one Christmas, Nagy distributed 130,000 CDs inside the newspaper.

What's On

We will be having our special Easter Family Service on Sunday 5th April 12 noon. We have distributed invitations to many of the homes in the neighbourhood with an invitation to come along. The children will once again be involved in the service and Steve Moss will be giving the message.

Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your

you will be with me in paradise.”
