What's on

Church Ministries

For from the Father's throne You came,
His banished children to reclaim;
And earth and sea and sky revere
The love of Him who sent You here.
And we are jubilant today,
For You have washed our guilt away.
O hear the glad new song we sing
On this, the birth of Christ our King!

O Saviour of our fallen race,
The world will see your radiant face
For You who came to us before
Will come again and all restore.
Let songs of praise Your name adorn,
O Christ, Redeemer, virgin-born
Whom with the Father we adore
And Holy Spirit evermore. Alleluia!

Good Tidings

Today often the comment is that we don't read much good news it is often controversy that makes the headlines. There is though a story that gladdens the heart that is the birth of the Saviour of the world. Once again it is the season to celebrate the arrival of the Lord Jesus Christ. Humble the circumstances may have been it was recognised by the angels, shepherds and magi who came to see Him. May many people turn to the Lord this year and come to a saving knowledge of Him in their life. I trust God will bless you this Christmas and the love and peace of God bring encouragement. Sunday evening 25th November was a time to rejoice as we witnessed the baptism of Pamela Scott, Rebecca Wilson and Richard Dunne. It was good to have so many at the service, family and friends, some of whom were observing a baptism for the first time. To go through the waters of baptism is one of the ordinances given to us by the Lord and we do pray that all young or old will be encouraged or indeed be challenged by the testimony of the young people. For everyone who worked hard to make the evening a success, thank you.
