What kind of love is this
That gave itself for me
I am the guilty one
Yet I go free;
What kind of love is this
A love I've never known
I didn't even know his name
What kind of love is this?

By grace I have been saved
It is the gift of God
He destined me to be his child
Such is his love.
No eye has ever seen
No ear has ever heard
Nor has the heart of man conceived
What kind of love is this?

Our Nation

When we look at the spiritual condition of the country that God has placed us do we despair or resolve to proclaim the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is easy to be discouraged but we have many examples in scripture of those such as Daniel who remained faithful and served God. We can do likewise despite the circumstances or cultural expectations in a pluralistic society.

God can use all who are committed to His word that are willing to remain steadfast in difficult times. He will bless what is done for His glory and honour.

Mission Focus

Ray and Trixie Keilty would like to thank everyone at Bethany who contributed to their Christmas appeal. Their “wee flat” was filled to capacity with over 700 presents given out, as well as 24 hampers. There were also calendars, clothes, colouring-in books and a Christmas video distributed.

There was great appreciation from the many who received a gift and opportunities to witness of the Lord Jesus.

Continue to pray that Ray and Trixie will have the health strength and energy to continue to serve God in this remarkable way.

Pray for the Bethany outreach work

We look forward to the marriage of Wilson Crawford and Laura Bell on Thursday 19th February. It will be a wonderful occasion for the young couple as the make their vows in front of family and friends at the ceremony at Bethany. The reception is being held at the Glynhill Hotel in Renfrew. We wish both Wilson and Laura God's blessing in their marriage and as they set up home together.

Bible Teaching

Malcolm McGookin has been arranging topics for the some of the speakers at the Sunday evening Bible Teaching service. These will be a mixture of subjects helpful to all, which will be announced in advance to help encourage folks to come along and receive some sound teaching from the Word of God. This month on the 1st Ian Wallace will be speaking on, The Miracles - I am the Bread of Life.

There will be a Golden Wedding celebration this month at Bethany when Jim and Jeanette Cunningham celebrate 50 years of married life together. We wish them both well for achieving this milestone and that they will enjoy the events to honour the occasion.

Remember Liz and Frank McKinnon in your prayers as Liz recuperates after a recent operation.
