What's on

Church Ministries

From the Birds that Sing, In the Tallest Trees.
To the Human Life, of you and me.
From the Desert Sands, to the place we stand.
He is God of All, He is Everything.

I'm giving my life to the only One who makes the
moon reflect the sun.
Every starry night, that was His design
I'm giving my life to the only Son,
who was and is and yet to come
Let the praises ring, 'cause He is everything
'Cause He is everything

From the autumn leaves, that will ride the breeze
To the Faith it takes, to pray and sing
From the Painted sky, to my plank filled eye
He is God of all, He is everything

Support

We are often asked to pray for fellow believers in our country and across the world, especially in times of crisis. This is such at time with prayer needed for the situation in Egypt. It helps to be informed and aware of how best we can pray as it is a great consolation and power to our brothers and sisters. The turmoil at present is a time of concern for all but particularly the Christian community, pray that God will be their strength and comfort at this time. Andy Wilson

Pray for the Christian community in Egypt.

Egypt report - Lord's Work Trust

At the moment two of our meeting places in Cairo have been closed and also in Alexandria the believers have been stopped from meeting together, last Sunday they held the breaking of bread in homes. In the town of El Zouia some believers homes have been torched and their belongings stolen. The believers have been told that unless they join in the rioting against the President they will bear the consequences. In this area there is no protection from the army or the police and the militants from the other religion are very active.

Both in Cairo and other areas the meeting places and the homes of believers are being protected at night by our younger brethren.

One brother because of his high standing has been told he should carry a revolver for self protection. His reply has been I am a Christian believer and my God will protect, I am not called to take life but preserve life.

In our last conversation today (2nd Feb) our brother asks us all in the UK to spend much prayer on behalf of the country of Egypt that once adopted The Son of God.

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Bill Gorrie after a short time of illness. Bill had been in fellowship at Bethany since moving from Elderslie in 1994. Please pray for his wife Catherine and the family at this time of loss.
