What's on

Church Ministries

We were made to be courageous
We were made to lead the way
We could be the generation
That finally breaks the chains
We were made to be courageous
We were made to be courageous

We were warriors on the front lines
Standing, unafraid
But now we're watchers on the sidelines
While our families slip away
Where are you, men of courage?
You were made for so much more
Let the pounding of our hearts cry
We will serve the lord.

Seek justice
Love mercy
Walk humbly with your God

Mark Hall, Matthew West

Be strong and courageous

Joshua 1:8

Jesus immediately said to them “Take courage! It is I”

Matthew 14:27

Courageous

The Word of God gives us many examples of courageous believers, such as Elijah, Esther and Daniel. They along with many others throughout church history are a great demonstration of steadfast faith in the face of adversity. Once again in our day we are required to be faithful to the truth of the scriptures. We must always turn to the Bible for guidance and instruction when compromise with the world is suggested, What God has to say is vital even if it means going against the tide of popular opinion. It is worth recalling that we are not the first generation in the church to be tested in such a way. God who has supplied the peace, grace and strength to those who been faithful before will do so for us if we seek Him fervently in prayer. Andy Wilson

Mission Focus

Last month we appreciated the visit from Ian Campbell home for a short visit to Scotland along with Marilyn, from Zambia. Ian gave a very interesting presentation on life at Chingola. It was helpful to learn of some of the people whom they serve amongst, of the Emmaus work, bookshop and Bible studies. It was good to be encouraged by Ian in our labours for the Lord in Bethany. Please continue to pray for them.

Jairah Funds would like to thank all who came along to the coffee morning and report last month, it was greatly appreciated. Please remember Liz Sam and Beth as they go to Brazil this month. We look forward to a report of the trip.

Interlink Missionary Weekend 8th and 9th March

Wider Horizons

Wider Horizons weekend was held in the 25th-27th of January at Larbert. The weekend is held annually and allows young Christians to gain an understanding of Christian mission.

Peter Maiden was the bible teacher and spoke about the call of mission throughout the bible and was joined by missionary couples; Ronnie & Anne Cairns who serve the Lord in Japan as well as Jamie & Marilyn McIlree who are preparing for service in Zambia.

Eleven attended the weekend from Aqua including; Marc, Mark, Richard and Rebecca from Bethany. It is hoped that they will be able to share their experiences at a later mission focus.
