Where two or more
Are gathered in His name
He is there
For all who come
Who run to Him in faith
He is there, He is there

There is power In the name of Jesus
There is power, Power in His name

No fear, no lie
Can stand against us now
He is here
The Word has come
To silence every doubt
He is here

One name, one name can save
One name breaks every chain
One name, always
One name, Jesus
One name, one name remains
One name, we will proclaim
One name, always One name

Where two or three come together in my name there am I with them

Mathew 18:20

Lord teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples

Luke 11:1

John the Baptist is a great role model, especially for our day. He was commended for being bold, fearless and faithful. He did not seek the prominent place, was content to point people to the Lamb of God. Above all he prayed to God, even teaching his disciples to pray. The Lord Jesus Christ indeed was asked to teach on prayer just like John taught. The response of the Lord is what is known as the model prayer. This is our guidance for prayer, something we need to engage in everyday. It is in prayer that we can be strengthened, encouraged and blessed. We need to pray for the gospel of the Lord Jesus as it proclaimed that many will come to saving faith in Christ as Saviour. Be expectant and pray frequently. Andy Wilson

Ian and Marilyn Campbell

Please pray for Marilyn's recent cataract operation in Northern Ireland, that the operation will be successful and that she will be able to return to Zambia as soon as possible.

Linwood Bible Teaching weekend, 26th - 28th February

A notable event in July was the Youth for Christ outreach. Since then we've been in touch with several families in our district. One mum comes regularly to services with her son; please pray for them.

Taking part in a Christian event near Paris the weekend after the November terrorist attacks was an interesting experience. Security was tighter than usual, of course, but all went well. The subject for the seminars, chosen a long time in advance, was the persecution of Christians today, a daily reality for many in the world.

In December, we held two special Christmas services: one in French with the whole fellowship, and an English carol service. Church members who felt they could cope with the language came to this, and we were delighted that several of our own friends who enjoy speaking English came too. One of our guests was impressed by the sense of commitment and faith on the part of the Christians present, and by the peaceful atmosphere that was felt. Please pray that she will come to know the Prince of peace!

Please keep praying for the church here. It's growing, but is still weak, in particular for contacts with people in the area, and for ministry among children and young people.

Many thanks again for your prayers. If human resources were all we could depend on, the assembly in LH would have disappeared long ago. But our God is great, and the Lord is still building his church in our city!

Pray continually
