Church Ministries

Where you go, I'll go
Where you stay, I'll stay
When you move, I'll move
I will follow...

All your ways are good
All your ways are sure
I will trust in you alone
Higher than my side
High above my life
I will trust in you alone

Where you go, I'll go
Where you stay, I'll stay
When you move, I'll move
I will follow you
Who you love, I'll love
How you serve I'll serve
If this life I lose, I will follow you
I will follow you

“Come follow me,” Jesus said

Matthew 4:19

Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice.

Romans 12:1

Following Jesus

We are once again at the outset of another year and for some of us they come around all too frequently. There is much made of the move from the old year to the new. For the believer in the Lord Jesus Christ the most important thing is to continue to follow our Saviour. Our commitment to Him should not change through the years, but we do need to be encouraged. Hence the importance of meeting with other Christians as well as sharing our faith with those who need to know the way of salvation. May we continue in our obedience to our Lord as we serve Him in 2012 and be blessed as we do. Andy Wilson

Camp New Year Party

The first camp event of the year was held in Dimity St Church on the 7th of January. Dimity was packed with a mixture of first time campers and previous campers who all enjoyed the evening of games, dancing and food. The next camp event will be the Camp day out in May however there will be continuous work in organising the camp in time for the summer.

Mission Focus - Kitt's

Almost three months have passed since we moved from Villefranche to Le Havre. If you have difficulty saying that, just call it LH (ell'aitch)! Settling into a new place always takes time, but here the process has been easier since we lived in LH from 1986 to 2000. We didn't live in the same area. Our home now is right at the edge of the city, nearly 4 miles from where we used to live. But when we go to the city centre we nearly always come across someone we know.

Our main emphasis so far, apart from Bible teaching for adults and children, has been to get alongside our brothers and sisters to try and encourage them in their Christian growth and witness. Our experience in Villefranche convinced us of the value of involving Christians in small discipleship groups, where people are encouraged to read the Bible regularly and systematically, to pray for one another and to witness to their own circle of family, friends and colleagues. Several Christians in Villefranche found this very helpful, and we'd like to develop similar groups here.

Some of the young people will be attending the Wider Horizons weekend at Carronvale House, Larbert this month, when the Bible teacher will be Paul Young. The missionary couple will be Simon & Judy Quelch who serve the Lord in Brazil.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world.
