What's on

Church Ministries

From the creation to the cross
Then from the cross into eternity
Your grace finds me
Yes, Your grace finds me

It's there on a wedding day
There in the weeping by the graveside
There in the very breath we breathe
Your great grace

Same for the rich and poor
Same for the saint and for the sinner
Enough for this whole wide world
Your great grace

There in the darkest night of the soul
There in the sweetest songs of victory
Your grace finds me
Yes, Your grace finds me

For it is by grace we are saved, through faith

He saved us not because of righteous things we had done

A New Year

After a time of reflection another year is underway with all that it holds for each one of us. We may look forwards with ambitions, challenges even a certain amount of trepidation. Whatever it may be, we face it with the knowledge that God will supply His grace to meet our every need. There is no situation either good or testing that He will not be with us. It is important that we spend time in communion with God each day then we will be able to discern the will of God for us and be able to be obedient as we follow it. One way to achieve this is to follow a daily reading plan and for those doing so be diligent and faithful then you will know God's blessing. May we know the peace of God in all we experience with God's grace sustaining us as we advance into 2014.Andy Wilson

Bethany Calendar 2014

Pray for the calendars given out over 500 of them, that the scripture verses will speak to people and that they will be encouraged to come along to a service particularly the Family Service. For everyone who helped distribute the calendars thank you. Trust you will be blessed by the experience and also invigorated after all the walking especially going up all the stairs in the tenements.

Wider Horizons weekend January 24-26th January

Camp Correspondent

The first camp event of 2014 was held in Johnstone on the 11th of January. Dimity was packed with some of our own children from Bethany going as campers for the first time and other campers who all enjoyed the evening of games, with some food. The next camp event will be the Camp night out in May however there will be continuous work in organising the camp in time for the summer.

Bible Teaching

We start the Sunday evenings in 2014 with our focus still on the Gospels. After looking at characters in the birth of the Saviour we move forward in a chronological manner to learn what happened next. This will commence with teaching on John the Baptist. Topics for January are:

'John the Baptist'   Alistair McKinnon
'The Disciples'   Ian Preston
'Passovers in John'   Dan Carnan

Continue to pray for those unable to attend the meetings particularly at this time of year. Pray for Ena Dickson, Hugh Wallace and Betty Purss who is still in hospital.

You the my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus
