What's on

Church Ministries

Before the throne of God above
I have a strong and perfect plea.
A great high Priest whose Name is Love
Who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on His hands,
My name is written on His heart.
I know that while in Heaven He stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart.

When Satan tempts me to despair
And tells me of the guilt within,
Upward I look and see Him there
Who made an end of all my sin.
Because the sinless Savior died
My sinful soul is counted free.
For God the just is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me.

Behold Him there the risen Lamb,
My perfect spotless righteousness,
The great unchangeable I AM,
The King of glory and of grace,
One in Himself I cannot die.
My soul is purchased by His blood,

Such a high priest meets our need

Hebrews 7:26

We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of God.

New Year New Challenge

It may be for some that another year comes around with regularity and all too quickly. It may seem like yesterday that we looked forward to 2014. You though may look on another year as a new challenge to be considered. Rather than see all that is to come as only the same as before, we can look ahead seeing God's hand in everything that is in His permissive will. There will be some aspects of life that will be the same however there will be fresh tests and trials that will come our way. So rather than being daunted by them let us face them in the strength of the Lord that is available to all believers. So keep on praying and read the scriptures daily this year and be encouraged as we serve our Saviour in 2015, whatever God has planned for us. Andy Wilson

Bible Teaching

In January we will have a special series on the Tabernacle with Bobby Jack, missionary in Argentina. Bobby will bring his model with him on Tuesday 6th, Thursday 8th at 7.30pm and Sunday 11th at 6.30pm. Please come along and see the visual impact of this interesting topic.

Bethany Calendar 2015

Over 500 calendars have been distributed, please pray that the scripture verses will speak to people who received them and that some will come along to the Family Service.

Wider Horizons weekend 23-25th January

Allan & Anne Kitt

We're thankful for all God's blessings in 2014, and want to thank those of you who pray for us and our work here in Le Havre.

Positive notes in church life include the baptism of three young people, all from the same family, in the summer. Many friends and people from the wider family circle were present. Please pray for the ongoing witness of the family to them. (It was an eventful day, as the family had their basement flooded in the morning!)

Other encouragements are fairly regular visits on Sundays from some interested "inquirers", and the steady rise in numbers at the monthly women's meeting. The new university year brought some extra students, too: Mexicans and another Korean! We appreciate their presence, and pray that their stay in Le Havre will benefit their Christian lives as well as their studies. We were also glad this year to welcome Christian visitors from the UK and from elsewhere in France.

We continue to look for ways to reach out to the community around our building.

Wider Horizons

The Wider Horizons 17-30's weekend will be held at Gartmore House, Aberfoyle on 23 - 25 January, when the Bible teacher will be John Aitken, Echoes of Service. The visiting missionary will be Beth Grove who works among the Muslims and refugees.
