What's on

Church Ministries

You're the Word of God the Father
From before the world began.
Ev'ry star and ev'ry planet
Has been fashioned by Your hand.
All creation holds together
By the power of Your voice.
Let the skies declare Your glory;
Let the land and seas rejoice!

You're the Author of creation;
You're the Lord of ev'ry man;
And Your cry of love rings out across the lands.

Yet You left the gaze of angels,
Came to seek and save the lost,
And exchanged the joy of heaven
For the anguish of a cross.
With a prayer You fed the hungry;
With a word You calmed the sea;
Yet how silently You suffered
That the guilty may go free!

New life

There is a greater appreciation of the trees and flowers in bloom this year perhaps because of the severe winter we have just experienced. It is remarkable to observe the colours of creation that we are surrounded by now that the weather is warmer.

They all point to the God who planned and created it all with all its wonder and design, with every aspect having a story to tell. May it encourage us to be grateful for God's provision for us and although sin entered in, God also provided a Saviour to atone for sin, the Lord Jesus Christ. Surely we indeed have a wonderful God.

There are some leaflets that we have received from Alan Park at Interlink that are available for the First Serve programme. This is a mentored gap year programme designed for 18-25 years old.

Sunday 27th June will be the occasion of Sunday school prizegiving service when Ian Dunne from Motherwell will be the speaker. Pray that God will bless the service.

Congratulations to David Wilson on his engagement to Laura Masson, best wishes from Bethany to the couple.

Pray that God will bless Praise Gathering this month

Praise Gathering

Once again it is the time of year for Praise Gathering that is being held in the Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow on the 4th - 6th June with 400 voices and a 7 piece band. It is good that we as a church are going together on the Sunday evening. Jim and Morag McGillivray are involved again and working hard in preparation for the concerts.

There are some other music events on this month with Frenzy in Edinburgh one that some of the young people will be going to.

Praise God for the 60+ young people going to the camp 19 - 23 July. Pray for the summer mission planning sessions (3 - 11 July) and that the Programme of events would be successful. Pray for the follow up to the summer events and for the positive impact this can have on the church.

Pray for team members for the GLO team, 24-31 July. Pray for Brian & Liz as they lead a children's mission in Stranraer 3-10 July. Pray for a lady who is attending the Tuesday evening Bible study. Pray about the need for a youth work to commence in the church.
