What's on

Church Ministries

Hear the call of the kingdom
Lift your eyes to the King
Let His song rise within you As a fragrant offering
Of how God rich in mercy
Came in Christ to redeem
All who trust in His unfailing grace

Hear the call of the Kingdom
To reach out to the lost
With the Father's compassion
In the wonder of the cross
Bringing peace and forgiveness
And a hope yet to come
Let the nations put their trust in Him

King of Heaven we will answer the call
We will follow bringing hope to the world
Filled with passion, filled with power to proclaim
Salvation in Jesus' name

Go into the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

Mark 16:15

Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season.

2 Timothy 4:2

Go Forth

The summer is often to reach out with the good news of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Although we are always involved in proclaiming the Word of God the opportunity is taken for many Christians to use their holiday time to be further involved. We are well aware of the summer camp and summer mission teams that have been source of involvement for many years. It is encouraging to look back and recount God's blessing in salvation in this outreach. May we continue to take these opportunities to spread the Word and for those involved we encourage you and especially pray for God to richly bless the declaration of the gospel this summer. Camp News

Camp 2013 is edging closer as the work for Camp continues. A special night out was held at Lapwing Lodge on the 8th of May. The evening went well, with big games played and a BBQ that was enjoyed by all who attended. Prayers were also answered regarding the weather. The next camp date is the Camp Coffee Night which will be held at Dimity St on the 14th of June. This evening allows both campers and parents the chance of finding out what to expect from camp and answer any worries. Camp is on the 15th-19th of July.

Church Day Out 15th June

Aqua Report

Aqua officially finishes for the year this June, with the past year being a busy year for all who have attended. Throughout the year the young people from Bethany, Dimity, Renfrew and Kilnside have met up on a Sunday Night to grow in their Christian faith together. Sunday nights include prayer nights, a DVD series on Jesus, Key issues and in May had a talk with Alan and Ann Kitt, which was well received. Also in the past year Aqua has attended special events such as Wider Horizons and an Interlink Youth Night in March. Aqua will once again return in September for another busy year.

June is a very busy month in Bethany with many events organised in addition to the regular services. On Saturday 15th June there is the church outing to Moffat, followed by tea at Bethany. There is the Prizegiving service on Sunday 23rd June with Tommy Watson the speaker.

There will be a special Jairah Fund Dinner on 3rd June at the Glynhill Hotel, with the aim of raising funds to construct houses in India. The Sunday evening service on the 16th June will be taken by the Growing Christians and features the Emmaus work.

There is an Answers in Genesis conference at Hamilton College, Saturday 8th June at 7.30pm, when Dr Terry Mortenson will be the speaker. If you want to be better equipped to present the gospel then go along and be both encouraged and challenged.

We preach Christ crucified.
