What's on

Church Ministries

So fearfully and wonderfully made,
How could they say there is no God?
Reminded every breath that I take,
It's by Your hand I have been formed
So what am I going to do with this life You gave me?
What could I do but live for Your praise?

You gave me this breath,
And You gave me this strength,
And every day I'll live to obey You.
With all of my heart,
With all of my soul;
Let every breath I'm breathing display You God.

There's elegance in all you create
Your grand designs leave us amazed.
The wonders of the way we've been made
Speak of Your power, tell of Your grace.
So what am I going to do with this life You gave me?
What could I do but live for Your praise?

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made

Starting Point

It is often said the Bible is more up to date than tomorrow's newspaper. This was illustrated at a recent Family Service when the speaker Walter Hannay preached on the subject of earthquakes in the Bible basing his gospel message as response to another reported earthquake the previous day.

The word of God has something to say on many matters and while not comprehensive in everything, it should always be our starting point on our subject. God is the creator of all and is the foundation of our thoughts and belief that will speak, instruct and guide us in all we do.

Once again it is the half-yearly missionary weekend on the 12th and 13th March. The Friday evening event is being held in Chappell Street, Gospel Hall, Barrhead 7:30 - 9:00 pm. The speakers are Graham Black, France and Paul Young, Wales.

On Saturday at Hamilton College there is a full programme in the afternoon at 3:30pm for ladies and men. Then there is the evening rally at 6:30 followed by the Watershed for the young people at 8:45pm.

This is an excellent event that will help and encourage you to pray effectively for God's work across the globe.

Special Collection

There will be a special collection on Sunday 7th for the new windows and doors that have been fitted in the church. If you are a taxpayer and have not already done so please make use of the facility to claim back the tax. There is a form that Lindsay Crockett can give you that will enable you to do this and maximise your giving.

Camp Correspondent

The Camp New Year party was held in January at Dimity Street Johnstone and was evening of games and some appropriate party food. There was good turn out for the event which was enjoyed both by children and leaders.

The next camp activity will be the Camp day out and will be held in May. This event will help prepare campers old and new for this year's event in July.

Christian Concerts

There are some events this month that would be worthwhile going to if you have the opportunity. There is a concert with Stuart Townend at Craighalbert Church, Cumbernauld on Friday evening 19th March commencing 7:30pm.

There is also a concert on Saturday 20th March with Bryn Haworth and Father's Song at Woodhill Evangelical Church, Bishopbriggs at 7pm.
