What's on

Church Ministries

We have raised our hopes and our cities high
We have followed fragile dreams
But only One could take the measure of our goals
And we've stumbled over the trials of life
And we've wrestled the unseen
But only One can calm the storm inside our souls

In the hands of God we will fall
Rest for the restless, and the weary
Hope for the sinner
In the hands of God we stand tall
Hands that are mighty to deliver
Giving us freedom

When our strength gave way to the weight of guilt
'Til we strained for every breath
Only One could lift our shame and make us well
And when all is finished and we face
The fearsome power of death
Only One has overcome the gates of hell

You're amazing
You're amazing, You are
And we praise You, Lord
For what Your hands have done

Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God

In the Hands of God

The believer and follower of Jesus Christ should always look to God for guidance in their life. Every decision, every move that we make must have the hand of God at the centre. There will be no success if we don't take time to pray properly or if we rush ahead with our ideas instead of being led by the Holy Spirit. Let us always make it a priority in all that we do to let God be the guiding light in our pathway. For if we do then God will bless us and we will bring glory and honour to his name.

Camp Correspondent

The work for Camp 2010 begins already with the Camp Reunion for this year being held on November the 7th at Dimity Street, Johnstone. Next years camp will once again be held at Whittaugh Park in the Scottish Borders in July.

Christmas Giving

Thank you to everyone who once more shared in the ‘shoe box’ appeal this year and also to Robert McCaig for coordinating it all yet again.

There is also an opportunity to help Ray & Trixie Keilty as they are looking for items to pass on as a gift to the many people they come in contact with.

Mission Focus

The mission focus last month looked at GLO Summer Mission in Poland. We were grateful to David Wilson for sharing his experiences of being involved serving God in this way. It was good to hear of the people of Poland growing in their love and service for the Lord Jesus.

The mission focus this month will be a visit from Brian Hawthorn from Renfrew. Brian, Liz and family have now settled in and very much involved in the work in the town. So it would be good if you came along to meet and listen to Brian on Tuesday 24th November.

Bible Teaching

The subjects on a Sunday Evening are proving to be valuable. The teaching on topics in the Bible covered in recent months, such as ‘The Great White Throne’ and ‘The Rapture’. Passages in scripture often overlooked, that are important in our understanding of the doctrine of the ‘end times’, as it inspires us as we look forward to the return of the Lord Jesus. This month there is once again some interesting passages under consideration.
