What's on

Church Ministries

When this passing world is done
When has sunk yon glorious sun
When we stand with Christ on high
Looking o'er life's history
Then Lord, shall I fully know
Not till then how much I owe

When I stand before the throne
Dress'd in beauty not my own
When I see Thee as Thou art
Look Thee with unsinning heart
Then Lord, shall I fully know
Not till then how much I owe

E'en on earth, as through a glass
Darkly let Thy glory pass
Make forgiveness feel so sweet
Make Thy Spirit's help so meet
E'en on earth, Lord, make me know
Something of how much I owe

Revelation 22:20

Do not let your heart be troubled trust in God, trust also in me

John14:1

The Bible

The first printed Bible was produced in on the 30th September 1452 on the printing press of Johannes Gutenberg in Germany, the first book printed in volume. The printed Word has been a blessing to many over the years. I hope we appreciate the availability of The Word of God readily available in our language.

It is therefore vital in the life of a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ that we read the Bible each day learning more about Him and serving Him more faithfully. May God help us to spend time reading the Scriptures every day.

Alan & Shelia Park

Alan Park who will be visiting us this month was a missionary along with his wife Shelia in Zambia. They visited the country in the summer and this is some of highlights for them.

At Mansa we thoroughly enjoyed their annual conference. With just a few hundred attending it was, by comparison with Mambilima, much smaller. However we did remind ourselves that by UK standards the attendance was extremely good. On the Saturday we had a baptism when thirty-five believers obeyed the Lord and were baptised in the rocky pools which are a feature of the new conference site named “Mapalo”, which means “Blessings”. Please pray that the Lord will richly bless throughout the area.

Christmas Giving

Once again we have the opportunity to help others this year. It is time for the “shoe box” appeal and once again we are grateful to Robert McCaig for organising our effort. Please get involved in helping those who we can help this Christmas time. There are leaflets available to remind you how to complete a box with the appropriate gifts.
