What's on

Church Ministries

Be still, my soul: the Lord is on thy side.
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain.
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change, He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul: thy best, thy heavenly Friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.

Be still, my soul: thy God doth undertake
To guide the future, as He has the past.
Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake;
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul: the waves and winds still know
His voice Who ruled them while He dwelt below.

Be still, my soul: begin the song of praise
On earth, believing, to Thy Lord on high;
Acknowledge Him in all thy words and ways,
So shall He view thee with a well pleased eye.
Be still, my soul: the Sun of life divine
Through passing clouds shall but more brightly shine.

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him

Psalm 37:7

I will run the course of your commandments

Psalm 119:32

The truth that is the Word of God is a precious commodity that should be cherished revered and honoured. Sadly that does not always happen in this day and age. Today there is a great responsibility and challenge for every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ to remain faithful in our daily walk with God. There may well be occasions that we have to stand firm in our obedience to the teaching of the Bible. However if that is required we can be encouraged by the example of people like Paul who remained steadfast in the face of fierce opposition, even taking time to rejoice in dire circumstances. So for each one these days be encouraged to be faithful to the integrity of the scriptures, being people of joy and hope. Andy Wilson

Summer 2012

There was much focus this summer in our nation on the Olympics and for many this was opportunity for witness and outreach. May God bless all that was done to proclaim the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

There is a Men's Breakfast on 24th November 8.30am -12.30pm, with various topics on Evangelism with speakers Neil Smith, John Campbell and David Bremner at Beancross Restaurant, Falkirk.

Interlink Men's Breakfast Saturday 24th November 2012

This month we can look forward to the recommencement of the Bible teaching service here at Bethany, after the joint services during the summer, on Sunday 2nd September, when the speaker will be Alasdair Fyfe. Many of the activities of the assembly will recommence this month, Bethany Buds, Fusion, Incy Wincy's and Growing Christians. Please pray for them for leaders and those who will attend.

The Bible study will continue with our look at the book of Revelation when Steve will guide us through chapter 15.

Please pray for those unable to attend the services and those not so well at this time, Ella McAlpine, Ena Dickson, Hugh and Wilmar Wallace and in particular Jean Lochhead who has been in hospital.

We would like to thank everyone who has helped in a practical way in recent work at Bethany outside and inside in doing some necessary maintenance.

Camp Correspondent

Camp 2012 got underway in July with Iain Cunningham as the speaker. This year camp was held in a new venue in the North of England at Blaithwaite House. The change was enjoyed by both campers and leaders, with new activities including BMX biking and a day trip to Keswick.

We thank you for your prayers and support for this years camp however the work for Camp 2013 already begins in terms of organisation and we start handing out forms for next years campers.

They shall run and not be weary
