What's on

Church Ministries

Come on and celebrate His gift of love,
We will celebrate
The Son of God who loved us
And gave us life.

We'll shout Your praise, O King,
You give us joy nothing else can bring,
We'll give to You our offering
In celebration praise.

Come on and celebrate, celebrate
Celebrate and sing;
Celebrate and sing to the King.

Come on and celebrate, celebrate
Celebrate and sing;
Celebrate and sing to the King.

But we had to celebrate and be glad

Luke 15:32

He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favour from the Lord

Proverbs 18:22

Marriage was established by God and we find it mentioned throughout the scriptures. It tells us what it is, with instruction and encouragement for both husband and wife. Our Lord Himself attended a wedding in Cana in Galilee and from the gospel we know it was indeed a special occasion. The celebrations may not last as long today as they did then, it is though still a distinctive day for those being married. Love is it at the heart of marriage, as well as devotion and commitment. This reminds us of the church and Christ and the love He has for us and for how we love and serve Him. Especially in the times in which we live, it is important we are marked by Christ like love, as we seek to testify of Him. Andy Wilson

Camp Correspondent

Camp 2015 was enjoyed by all campers and leaders. This year a good number of children from the Sunday school and Fusion were able to attend the camp for the first time and all had a great time with the different activities. Iain Cunningham was the speaker, telling stories from the gospel of John and was able present the gospel in a clear and entertaining way for the children to understand.

Camp Sunday is being held on the 6th of September with the hope that campers, parents, leaders and the church can look back at everything that happened at camp.

Wedding Day

We would like to wish God's blessing on Marc and Pamela as they are married on Thursday 10th September at 1pm at Bethany. A wedding day is one to look forward to and there is much to plan and prepare for. It is also a day to remember with many precious memories to look back on. We trust God will be with the both on the day and indeed on each day of married life as they set up there home together. Marc and Pamela would be delighted if the friends at Bethany came along to witness this happy occasion.

Mission Focus

Mission Focus last month had a visit from Jonny Renfrew and Sarah Hutton to give a report on their recent visit to Zambia to help Ian and Marilyn Campbell.

It is a big step in reality a great adventure to travel to another continent where the culture and climate are so different from what you know. We were able to see some pictures of people they met, places they went and even some of the food on the menu, of which there were some interesting dishes to taste.

They were both encouraged spiritually to see the work Ian and Marilyn are involved is as well as the Emmaus courses and Bible distribution.

This month's Mission Focus will be led by Mark and we will be looking at the country of Azerbaijan, hopefully it will be an opportunity to learn new interesting facts about the country but most importantly the work being done for the Lord in Azerbaijan.
